You can add autocorrects to PhraseExpander without opening the PhraseExpander application, by typing a key combination without leaving the current working environment.

 

To add a new autocorrect

1.Select the misspelled text

2.Type CTRL+SHIFT+Q.

PhraseExpander opens the New autocorrect dialog

 

3.Enter the corrected text and press ENTER to confirm
The new autocorrect entry is added to the selected glossary

 

NOTE: if you are trying to add an autocorrect that already exists, PhraseExpander will detect it and will ask you to edit the existing one instead. You can also change the shortcut used to trigger the New autocorrect dialog from Options > Shortcuts
