You can define a number of variables and reuse them in many templates.
That's what references are for.
You can add a reference to another template and make the variables defined in other templates accessible inside the current template.
To add a reference to an existing template
1.Click on the edit referenced templates link
PhraseExpander will open the Reference window and show a list of templates that contain variables
2.Choose the templates you want to import by selecting them and clicking on the right arrow button
If the template doesn't have an Id, PhraseExpander will ask you to assign one
3.Click OK to confirm
PhraseExpander now displays a list of all the available templates contained in both the current template and the referenced ones
Variables with the same name
If more than one template has the variables with the same name, PhraseExpander will mark the variables that are not active with a strike-through, and will display only one as current.
PhraseExpander will give higher priority to the templates that are contained in the current template (and then defined in other templates contained in the group that contain the current template).
