PhraseExpander can import data from Excel files. To import from an Excel file 1.From the Glossaries tab, click on Add Glossary 2.Click on From data source > Excel File... 3.Select the Excel file to import
Setting the import options When importing an Excel file, you can choose the following options:
•Choose file: the name of the file to import is displayed there. •Worksheet: the name of the worksheet you want to import. You can see all the available worksheets in a dropdown. •Cell range: if you want to use a specific range, you can set it there. PhraseExpander will automatically determine in which region of the Excel file data are contained. •First row contains the column names: check this option if the first row of the range contains the column names (they will be used for data mapping).
Click on the Next button to define how the Excel columns will be mapped to a PhraseExpander phrase or autocorrect. |
