Execution precedence

When PhraseExpander detects an abbreviation or keyboard shortcut, it applies certain rules to determine which phrase will be executed.

Abbreviation

1.Glossary/group abbreviation (highest priority). If the same abbreviation is assigned to a glossary and a child group, the phrases contained in the group will be displayed

2.Phrase abbreviation (if more phrases share the same abbreviation, all phrases will be displayed)

Keyboard Shortcuts

1.Application specific shortcuts (e.g. shortcuts used to add or edit phrases)

2.Glossary/group shortcut (highest priority). If the same shortcut is assigned to a glossary and a child group, the phrases contained in the group will be displayed

3.Phrase shortcut (if more phrases share the same shortcut, all phrases will be displayed)
